LÉANDRE LAGRANGE
Art Director
Léandre Lagrange is the Art Director at Square One, where he leads the creative direction of projects through world-building, concept design, and visual storytelling. With over 20 years of experience and a background in traditional art, visual development and visual effects, he brings a rare blend of artistic vision and technical fluency to every production.
Before joining Square One, Léandre was Art Director at MPC and contributed to numerous high profile feature and series projects often from early pitch until deep into post production.
With a global vision of the movie making pipeline, he understands the importance and requirements of the design process, allowing him to anticipate and communicate efficiently with every party involved throughout the development of a given project.
He began his career in France in 2004 before moving to the UK in 2008 and the US in 2016, collaborating with acclaimed directors, production designers, and VFX supervisors across a wide range of feature films, contributing to project the like of Guardians of the Galaxy, the Alien franchise, Detective Pikachu, The Little Mermaid, HALO, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, The Lion King, the Harry Potter franchise, the Godzilla franchise.
In 2022, his work on NOPE was recognized with the Concept Art Award for Excellence in Live Action Feature Creature Concept Art; an honor that highlighted both his craft and his ongoing contribution to the industry.
As Art Director, Léandre is known for his ability to guide teams with clarity and intent, shaping cohesive visual languages that stay aligned with a director’s vision. His strength lies in translating story and emotion into compelling imagery, balancing creativity and problem-solving in fast-paced production environments.
A dedicated artist, he considers drawing his creative foundation: a space for reflection, exploration, and continued artistic growth.
