With a strong background in VFX production and a passion for visual storytelling, Philippe Massonnat brings both creative insight and technical expertise to his role as Visualization Producer at Square One. After several years as a VFX Producer at fellow Pitch Black company FOLKS, he joined Square One, building on experience at leading studios including Rodeo FX and Cinesite. His work spans major productions such as Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, Fantastic Four, Tarzan, Zombieland 2, and high-profile FOLKS projects like Beau Is Afraid, Dark Matter, and Final Destination: Bloodlines.

Originally from France, Philippe studied cinema at Paris 8 University before beginning his career in VFX production on high-profile music videos. His move to Canada opened the door to visual effects - an ideal blend of his technical expertise and love of film.

With broad experience across departments and disciplines, Philippe has developed a sharp understanding of the VFX pipeline and the creative process behind it. At Square One, he focuses on supporting his team - ensuring they have the tools, space, and clarity to push creative boundaries and deliver exceptional work.
